To apply for the CCSP certification, completion of the NCDA Facilitating Career Development (FCD) training program is mandatory.
Assessment Overview
The CCSP credential assessment is based on the curriculum of the NCDA Facilitating Career Development (FCD) training program. Candidates may apply for the CCSP credential after successfully completing this program.

Each scenario presents a specific situation or client case, requiring candidates to respond in 2 to 5 paragraphs. There is a 60-minute time limit for responses to each scenario. International applicants (non-native English speakers) may request an extension for response time during the application process. All assessment questions are presented in English, and candidates must provide their responses in English as well.
Evaluation Criteria
Candidates will answer scenarios related to competencies in Helping Skills, Theory, Assessment, and Job Search. The scenarios can be chosen from the following settings
In the CCSP credential assessment, qualified evaluators with expertise in each area will assess candidates’ responses based on the 12 competencies acquired during training, using established evaluation criteria (rubric). Evaluators only review candidates’ responses and do not have access to any personal information, ensuring a fair and professional evaluation process.
Assessment Preparation
Review the FCD training curriculum, focusing especially on the competencies related to the scenarios. It’s crucial to practice responding to actual scenarios within the 60-minute time limit. Utilizing the PowerPoint materials and sample questions provided during the training can effectively enhance your writing style and content. EngagePro Inc. offers support for assessment preparation through lectures and assignments that provide practical response practice.
The Credential Application Process
The application process consists of two main steps

The Credential Application Process. The application process consists of two main steps
While you are not required to complete all four scenarios at once, all assignments must be submitted within 90 days of your initial exam date.
Notification of Assessment Results and Retakes
Results will be emailed approximately 3 to 4 weeks after the exam. If you do not pass the exam, you can retake it with a new set of questions within one month. Should you also fail the retake, your next opportunity to take the exam will be one year later.
