Upcoming Changes to the CCSP Assessment Format Starting January 2025

Starting January 2025, the CCSP assessment format will transition from paragraph writing to a multiple-choice format. However, candidates can still choose the traditional paragraph-writing format if they prefer.

This is great news for non-native English speakers! For applicants who complete FCD training but struggle with the certification exam, the multiple-choice format provides a more accessible and confidence-boosting way to take the test.

Assessment Overview
The exam consists of 80 multiple-choice questions covering six subject areas directly related to the FCD Student Manual:

• Module 1: Building Helping Relationships (15 questions)
• Module 3: Career Development Theories and Their Application (19 questions)
• Module 4: The Role of Assessment in Career Planning (16 questions)
• Module 5: Ethics and Career Service Providers (7 questions)
• Module 6: Career Services for Multicultural Populations (8 questions)
• Module 8: Job Search and Employability Skills (15 questions)

Time Limit: 120 minutes
